Iceland Geography trip
Students embarked on a memorable trip to Iceland last week, exploring the country’s unique volcanic and glacial landscapes.
Highlights included glacier hiking, a caving experience through a lava tube, and witnessing geyser eruptions! Students also relaxed in geothermal waters, observed a live lava show, and enjoyed many waterfalls!
A visit to Thingvellir National Park also allowed students to walk between the Eurasian and North American tectonic plates, offering an exciting illustration of plate tectonics in action.
The trip provided an exceptional opportunity to experience Iceland’s dramatic natural features and deepen geographical understanding through first-hand observation.
