United Learning competitions

UnitedApp 2019 competition

This year’s UnitedApp competition was more successful than ever. Over 400 teams of Year 9 students across the country submitted a proposal for an app that could have an educational impact on society. After three rounds, only the best ten ideas made it to the final and were invited to IBM London. Our elite team (Fiona, Georgie and Sophie) presented their outstanding project with confidence and professionalism, clearly impressing the panel of judges. As the overall winners of the competition, their app will now be made a reality and will soon be available to download from the main app stores. A truly impressive achievement!

7Billion Ideas - United Learning competition

We took part in the 7Billion Ideas Final, a competition run by United Learning. Our first challenge was to build the biggest tower out of paper in 20 minutes. Our tower was 1.5m tall and we came third! After this, we set up our stall with our posters and models and presented to a panel of judged. After some anticipation and crossing fingers, we found out that we had won the best model - we were so thrilled!
