Shakefest 2017

In the week before half term, the Main Hall was transformed into an enchanted forest, an army camp, a ball, a court, a battlefield and many other places as part of the Shakespeare Festival. Ten plays were staged over two days, all directed, produced and performed by girls in Years 8 and 9. The quality of directing, acting and production was superb and it was wonderful to see the creativity of the girls showcased. The success of the plays is testament to the enormous amount of work that went into them. The girls interpreted Shakespeare’s plays with confidence and imagination; the Bard is alive and well at GHS!
