Royal Festival Hall success

On Friday 6 and Saturday 7 April, one of our Year 4 girls performed on stage at the Royal Festival Hall in London as one of three treble soloists in Bernstein’s Mass (a theatre piece for singers, players and dancers) in front of a large audience including Leonard Bernstein’s son and daughter who were celebrating their father’s centenary. Also on stage was the National Youth Orchestra and several choirs – 500 performers in all – all conducted by Marin Alsop. They received standing ovations both nights and it was an amazing opportunity for one of our girls, following on from her lead role at Garsington Opera last summer in the Silver Birch.
