Eliza's Big Adventure

An emerging Children's Theatre Company, made up of four recent graduates from the BA Theatre and Performance programme at the Guildford School of Acting, will be performing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in August following the support of Guildford High School.
The Children's Theatre Company, Tales and Trails, formed in September 2017 with their first show Eliza's Big Adventure premiering at the Ivy Arts Centre, University of Surrey in May 2018. Each performance of the show sold out despite running simultaneously with the Royal Wedding and FA Cup Final!

Following their success, Guildford High School invited them to perform, with the company delivering two shows to girls in Year 2 of the Junior School, allowing them to practice and progress the show further. The girls were spellbound throughout and in support of this successful show, Guildford High School have donated funds to enable Tails & Trails to perform in Edinburgh.

Mike Gibb, Head of Guildford High Junior School, commented, “We have loved having Tails & Trails visit the school and perform to some of our girls. Drama at Guildford High Junior School is an active part of school life. From Reception to Year 6, all girls develop their speaking and listening skills, their imaginations and their acting talents through drama. Year group productions are always a treat and girls work as a team to design sets, create programmes and perform on stage. We even have one of our talented girls currently appearing in the West End musical of Matilda! We wanted to thank Tails & Trails for their wonderful performance and recognise their hard work by helping them to tour Eliza’s Big Adventure at the Fringe Festival this year. We hope to help them further by continuing their tour in schools and have them back for an audience with our other year groups later this year.”
