David Olugosa visits GHS

On Tuesday 20th November, David Olusoga, a British Nigerian popular historian, writer, broadcaster and filmmaker, visited Guildford High School to speak to Sixth Form as part of General Studies. He shared interesting and thought-provoking stories and anecdotes from his time researching for his book, and subsequent TV Series, Black and British. The message about the importance of appreciating both the positive and negative impacts that a country has had on people around the world clearly had an impact on pupils, evident by the number of questions David Olusoga received after the talk. It was a pleasure to hear him speak and everyone left with something to think about.
